Make sense of your iPhone notifications
A clear notification starts with the right permissions, a valid time and a plan you understand.

Show the reminder text
Show reminder text is on by default for new settings. Turn it off in TillYouDo Settings if you prefer generic notification content. Your iPhone’s Show Previews preference is independent: iOS can still hide details until you unlock. The app cannot override that privacy choice.
Where are Done and Snooze?
Touch and hold the notification to expand it. iOS reveals the available actions there. Opening the app is another route to the same explicit actions. Swiping a notification away is not completion, and stopping an urgent signal is not completion either.
If an alert did not arrive
Start with iPhone Settings → Notifications → TillYouDo. Check permission, the selected notification locations and sound. Then check Focus and the reminder’s time and quiet hours. For urgent signals, check their separate permission too.
What “Not scheduled” means
The reminder exists locally, but the app has not confirmed the expected system delivery. Open the notification status or Reliability screen in Settings. Use Repair if offered, including before the deadline, then check the status again. If permission is denied, allow it in iPhone Settings first.
A one-minute reminder is valid
Creating a reminder one minute from now should not itself produce an error. If a status remains unclear, keep the app open while repair finishes and record the app/iOS versions for support. A displayed scheduled state describes the plan and system queue; it is not proof that you heard or saw an alert.
Know the delivery boundary
Delivery depends on iOS, device state, permissions and the saved schedule. TillYouDo is not an emergency system or an alarm-clock replacement. Use an independent backup for commitments where a missed alert could have serious consequences.
